Well, it happened. The world is officially crazy.
Don't believe me?
Yesterday, my husband borrowed a friend's truck and took it to the car wash to be nice... while he was cleaning it (and had already paid), an employee came over, waved his arms and yelled at him saying, "No, NO! I'm tired of you people coming in here and making everything messy! Your truck is too dirty, get out of here!" Huh? Did he seriously just tell him that the truck was too dirty at a car wash? And 'YOU people'? What does that mean?
They exchanged a few words... and hubster left, but later came back to demand the man return his money... (initially he refused)... I'm so proud of him. Ronnie used to be incredibly shy and wouldn't speak up for himself in a situation like this, but he did... and you better believe he got his $3 back (hey, it's the point of the matter!).
The only thing I'm really sad about is that Ronnie did not spray the man with the hose... From what he tells me, this guy was being a serious prick.
Anyway, needless to say we probably won't be back... But is this weird? Have any of you ever heard of this before? Someone just told me that car washes get annoyed because too much dirt can clog their drains... but I'm sorry, isn't that what they are there for? It's this guys job to clean it out... plus there are no signs stating that your car/truck, etc. can't be dirty... And honestly, if he would have come over and politely said, 'hey man, can you please make sure the bay is clean before you leave?' I think this story would have definitely panned out differently.
*sigh* Kicked out of the car wash because your car is too dirty.... I've heard it all.
